Update on Woolwich development progress

A few further development are now underway in Woolwich town centre and the nearby area so a bit of a quick update today on how they’re looking.

Firstly a block that’ll reach 15-floors when complete is currently on the rise beside General Gordon Square at Woolwich Central.

Tesco proposed a block here twenty years ago before land was sold on twice.

This is phase three with the fourth phase a bit further behind at the rear of the supermarket.

Upon completion both plots will total 712 homes with London Square behind the development.

Ropeyards

Not too far away is the Ropeyards development on Beresford Street.

Work is now in full swing there though not structures are yet rising. When complete 663 flats will be located on site.

Work underway on 663 homes

Berkeley Homes are behind this particular site in Woolwich.

And finally for this brief look at Woolwich is the Brookhill Estate redevelopment, where groundworks are fully underway for 254 homes.

Purelake are working with Hyde on the site. Purelake have uploaded aerial images of work underway.

  • The student flats at Press House appear to be open in spite of the hoardings still being up, I’ve seen lots of normal people coming and going. I suspect they’ve doing tourist lets before next academic year starts.
