New Nepali restaurant replaces Starburger in Woolwich town centre

Work is underway to open a new restaurant on Hare Street in Woolwich.

The site was formerly homes to Starburger which closed a few weeks ago. It hasn’t been empty long before work began.

Named 88-48 Kitchen, some videos have recently been uploaded showing construction work inside.

Signage looks pretty smart and that’s not something you can say for all businesses opening in Woolwich.

A few doors down from the new Nepalese restaurant is Hitachi sushi which I’ve often good good things about.

Hare Street now sees a lot more units occupied than it has for much of the past 30 years. A number of buildings have also seen upper floors converted into housing.

  • Eric used to serve a lot more than just burgers.

I used to enjoy liver and bacon there.
