Rotherhithe tunnel closed after collision
The Rotherhithe tunnel has closed this afternoon (Sunday 23 August) following a collision.
Recovery work is underway though traffic has quickly built up, with the approach roundabout is blocked at Jamaica Road and Lower Road.
Bus routes impacted include 47, 188, 381, C10, P12.
Eastbound queues extend some distance along Jamaica Road towards Bermondsey.
North of the river there’s long queues heading back to Limehouse.
3PM UPDATE: The tunnel has reopened after recovery works complete.
