The Black Horse and Harrow is to open its doors on 21st May under the control of Unity Social having recently been known as The Duke of Catford.

The Duke of Catford closed in 2025.

Unity Social is a Punch Pubs brand described as “wet only, value-orientated pubs that bring a catchment area together”.

They stated on another part of their website that “The Duke of Catford will undergo a full refurbishment to include external upgrade and new signage, full internal redecoration and fantastic AV to help with providing the very best sports coverage and music-led events.

“The pub will have a great drinks range that will be priced below our local competitors and run a daily program of pub-activity including live music, karaoke, quiz and bingo.”

It follows the reopening of the Catford Constitutional Club in late 2025, which now goes by the name The Catford House.

  • It gained the frontage when it became the Ninth Life, not Duke of Catford.
