The Catford House pub set to open on 19 November

The renamed and renovated former Catford Constitutional Club is set to open next week on Wednesday 19th November.

Named The Catford House, the venture follows a £1.8 contribution from the Good Growth Fund which funded a large number of projects across London.

However it’s not all been plain sailing. Lewisham Council originally stated a 2024 opening which slipped by some way.

Work involved renovation of a Georgian farmhouse on site which is the oldest building in Catford and the only remaining part of a farm dating back to 1736.

It’ll be operated by Greenwich Co-operative Development Agency with Portobello brewery supplying the beer. Opening hours are:

Monday to Thursday 5 pm to 11 pm

Friday 3 pm to midnight

Saturday noon to midnight

Sunday noon to 11 pm

Note this isn’t the old Antic pub within a former Argos which opened in 2022 and shut shortly after. Antic also operated what is now The Catford House some years back before moving into the Argos unit.

  • I wish the management and staff at the Catford House Pub every success for the future. I think the opening hours are sensible and considerate for local residents living nearby.
