Another stabbing at Woolwich town centre’s Spray Street
A man has been hospitalised after another stabbing in the Spray Street area in Woolwich town centre.
The incident yesterday saw the 57 year old suffer injuries to his left arm and head. The incident occurred at 1pm.
It’s the latest in a long line of violent incidents in the Spray Street and Parry Place areas which has long had plans for redevelopment that have still yet to begin.
The area continues to see neglect as plans move nowhere.
As long ago as 2019 police were labelling the area a “crime hotspot” after stabbings. Incidents have persisted. A man suffered life threatening injuries last year after being stabbed.
No one has yet been arrested and police are asking any witnesses to the incident or who has information to call 101, quoting reference 3568/05MAR

The redevelopment of the Spray Street area is long overdue..Redevelopment should have started at least two or three years ago but has seen several delays.
Woolwich remains a no go area for many people due to the high crime rate. Despite the Councils best efforts to improve the area.
