Proposal for 231 student rooms at Art Hub in Deptford Creekside

An application to build a block containing 231 student rooms has been submitted.

It’s the latest proposal for Creekside and follows an application for a neighbouring site made in March 2023.

This site at 5-9 Creekside is occupied by a wholesalers and Art Hub, with the application including commercial areas across three levels and a “co-working cafe”.

Over the road is The Bird’s Nest pub which saw plans to extend and rebuild much of the site made in May 2022.

There’s also a residential block at No 1 Creekside which is now all but complete.

This video taken from the DLR on a trip between Greenwich and Deptford Bridge stations shows areas set for development.

The exact site of proposed 231 student rooms is seen at around the 26 second mark.

There’s a handy image within the application highlighting some sites, but other future developments in the area are absent such as Sun Wharf plans.
