Cyclist dies after lorry crash
A cyclist has died by Catford station this morning after being hit by a lorry.
The death appears to have occurred at a pinch point where the south circular road narrows on a bridge over tracks then heads below another railway line.
It’s a pretty nasty area all round with narrow paving despite high pedestrian footfall and next to no cyclist provision.
The crash happened at 6.39am this morning with a male cyclist pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin are yet to be informed. There have been no arrests.
