Man dies after Woolwich stabbing
A man has died after a stabbing in Woolwich.
Police were called at 5:37pm last night (Wednesday 28 September) to Brookhill Road following reports of a stabbing.
Police attended but couldn’t locate the victim.
Police state: “A short time later, at around 17:50hrs, a 23-year-old man was dropped off by car at a south London hospital with serious injuries.
Medical staff responded immediately but despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at 19:11hrs.
It is believed the man likely sustained his injuries in the incident in Brookhill Road. His next of kin have been informed.”

So far no arrests have been made.
Detective Chief Inspector Sal Minhas said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of this young man as they come to terms with his tragic death. We will do everything we can do support them.
“A dedicated team of detectives are working to establish exactly what happened and track down the people responsible. Officers will remain at the scene throughout the day and I would ask anyone with information about the incident to contact us immediately, no matter how minor the detail.
“Tackling violent crime remains a top priority for the Met. This incident is a stark reminder that we still have more to do in this area. We continue to work alongside the communities we serve to stop violence from happening in the first place.”
