A pedestrian has been taken to hospital in a critical condition after being hit by a bus on Vincent Road this morning (Saturday 11th September).

The road has been closed and some buses are on diversion.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area by police and TfL.

Saw the aftermath of this. Hope the woman involved is able to make a full recovery. Looked to have been hit by a 291 turning into Vincent Road.
That junction always seems a bit dangerous with the ramp making it seem like pedestrians have priority and people often crossing without looking. It could maybe do being a zebra crossing just to make sure pedestrians have priority, especially as there are two zebra crossings metres away on Woolwich New Road.
Ended up with one ambulance, half a dozen police cars and an air ambulance circling overhead with it looking like it couldn’t land because of an event being set up at the big screen.
