Men charged after Woolwich knife fight
The men from Abbey Wood and Woolwich were charged after a brawl which injured two men in the Royal Arsenal site in Woolwich.
According to police:
“Dafe Orogun, 18 (19.03.02) of Edington Road, Greenwich (actually it’s Abbey Wood); Reuben Okunade, 18 (05.03.02) of Edington Road, Greenwich; and, Anthony Kargbo, 24 (02.04.96) of Parkside Avenue, Lewisham were all charged with violent disorder and possession of a knife/blade/sharp pointed article.
They will appear at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 29 June.
The men were arrested after police were called to a fight and a group armed with knives in the vicinity of Duke of Wellington Avenue at around 15:45hrs on Saturday, 27 June.
The police very often just state the borough the road is in. Hence the confusion. Why they do this beats me as it can be really confusing when they tweet something like ‘big fight in Greenwich’ and it is somewhere such as Abbey Wood or Charlton.
