Aftermath of fire at Sidcup pub The Charcoal

Areas around The Charcoal pub in Sidcup are still sealed off with police present this morning after a fire hit last night.

It looks as though the main pub building was less affected than an area of decking and extension at the rear which bore the brunt. Windows of the main pub building are open on upper floors.

A dramatic blaze took hold before 11 pm last night (2 April) which the Fire Brigade quickly extinguished.

A substantial refurbishment was undertaken in recent years.
