Greenwich pub The Guildford Arms set to close
A pub in Greenwich will close its doors next weekend with the final day of trading set for Sunday 27th September.
The Guildford Arms, located at the corner of Guildford Grove and Devonshire Drive, have placed a notice on their website stating:
“We’re very sorry to announce that The Guildford Arms will be closing, with our final day of trading being Sunday 27th September.
“We’ll remain open and trading as usual until then and would love to welcome you over the next couple of weeks for a drink, a meal or one last Sunday roast with us.
“On Sunday 27th September, we’ll be open until 5pm, when our doors will close for good.
“We’d like to thank all of our customers, neighbours and friends for their incredible support.”
The pub is locally listed.

Such a terrible shame to see another pub close down for good. Sadly a sign of the difficult times we are luving in today. I wish the nanagement team and everyone one who works there good luck and great success for the future.
Sad news indeed. Unfortunately this will keep happening as the new generation shuns pubs and are more into healthy living and cafe culture. Pubs need to adapt to survive.
I don’t understand why they can’t diversify to have decent tea and coffee as well as healthy meals available at all hours.
That seems to be the way forward.
I totally agree with you Levi. Excellent suggestion..i would use them in tbe evenings at the weekends.
