Crayford gasholder demolition plan is back

Plans are in outlining the demolition of a Crayford gasholder in advance of redevelopment.

Back in October SGN applied to bring down the structure which was refused by Bexley Council later that same month.

New plans have now gone in.

It’s one of a number of sites in line for development including Belvedere where almost 400 homes are proposed.

Other gasholders with development plans include Greenwich peninsula and at the Old Kent Road.

Plans which emerged in November in Greenwich saw 850 student rooms alongside 450 co-living rooms with 80 social homes.

Another potential development site at a gasholder plot is in Rotherhithe.
