  • I hope they’re better soon. Awful place to get around on foot. We’ve told Greenwich councillors but they’ve ignored us. Don’t forget they now want to build a 20 floor tower right next to this spot and B&Q is being knocked down for thousands of little boxes. How about making it a liveable area with liveable streets with all this going on?

  • I hope they make a full recovery. My heart goes out to the family and friends.
Anon R is right how many times over the last 20 to 30 years have we complained to Greenwich Council how bad and unsafe the roads are around here. There is a serious lack of crossing for pedestrians it is realky difficult for people to get around this area by foot. Public realm. In the area is also in need of major investment to improve the area for pedestrians.
John has highlighted this issue many times and has written some great articles explaining some of thd issues regarding the roads and public realm in this area in great detail. But the local Labour councillors on Greenwich Council take no notice at all.
Not only should John be honoured for his services to Journalism. It is time for real change at next local elections in May 2026. These councillors have talen voters for granted for far too long. If it was not for John highlighting local issues for us we would not have a clue what was happening in our local areas.

    • I don’t know who is John, but your comment is right! I agree, those councillors are useless. Let’s get rid of them all next year.
