Bexleyheath hotel restaurant cut as additional rooms installed

Premier Inn hotel in Bexleyheath is set to see the former Brewer’s Fayre restaurant reduce in size to accommodate more hotel rooms.

Both the hotel group and restaurant chain are owned by Whitbread, and the restaurant closed some time ago.

Whitbread often placed either their Brewer’s Fayre or Beefeater chains within new build restaurants, though often to limited success.

In 2024 they then announced the conversion of 112 branded restaurants and sale of a further 126 across the country.

According to an approved application in Bexleyheath that means an extra seven hotel rooms with be accommodated on much of the former restaurant site, with a smaller on-site eating area dedicated to guests only.

Note these plans do not impact Il Vesuvio Restaurant and Pizzeria located next door.

Details of the plan can be viewed here.
