Councillor Averil Lekau, Cabinet Member for Climate Action, Sustainability and Transport said: “Cycling is not only great for our environment, it improves air quality and can also help people live healthier lives.
“Not everyone in our borough owns a car, and we also want people who drive to know they have the option to cycle. That starts with better infrastructure and these proposed cycle hangar locations are a crucial step towards encouraging more residents to choose cycling as their preferred mode of transport.”

Our esteemed representatives can’t even paste a link correctly.
It is a worry that these bike hangars get broken into though. Some on Deptford have been destroyed and the bikes stolen. I am a daily cyclist and I would not leave my bike in one sadly!
