Proposed deli and bar could open in arch beside Deptford station

A licensing committee meeting in Lewisham Council will today decide on a proposal to serve alcohol at a new venue in Deptford.

Arch 3 at Deptford Market Yard will be home to Sobrosa of plans are given the green light. Some residents are objecting to the proposal highlighting issues with previous bars in the area.

A report before the meeting states:

“Following the completion of the consultation period, the applicant suggested that they would be willing to remove the sale of alcohol for consumption ON the premises from the application in order to avoid this matter having to go to a hearing.

“Following mediation, agreement could not be reached by all sides in this respect and only two residents were willing to withdraw their objections in such circumstances. With this in mind, the application before the committee still proposes the sale of alcohol for both ON and Off the premises.”

There’s not a great deal of information online about Sobrosa as of yet. Usually decisions are uploaded to the Lewisham website within a few days.
