Watch: Demolition underway for Lewisham development at Axion House

Demolition is now ongoing to bring down Axion House for a new housing development in Lewisham

Demolition group Downwell have uploaded a video showing work:

The site will see 141 homes on a site sandwiched between two railway lines:

The plot is located to the south of Lewisham town centre:

A large number of developments are also underway around Lewisham, including Lewisham Exchange tower:

Lewisham Gateway Phase 2 is rising including a tower, shops and a cinema:

Then there’s a tower and mid rise blocks at Tesco’s former car park:

All development are now in various stages of progress, with piling now underway for Meyer Homes’ tower.

Work is also progressing at the final blocks at Lethbridge and Heathside estates north of Lewisham station:

443 homes are located there.

As a private renter with a young family, the cost of living is extremely high.

Support me and the site via Paypal here which allows me to focus time on researching and writing posts alongside taking photographs to document changes. Adverts are far from enough to cover living costs.

I also have a Facebook page for the site here

Thank you

Just looked at the present site from above and it seems isolated. 🤔 I hope the new development will be different.
