Lewisham signalling fails again. Yep, again.

Just last night Network Rail stopped trains running earlier than normal to undertake emergency engineering work at Lewisham due to signalling failing almost daily over the past week.

That’s despite tens of millions of pounds being spent in the area over the past year and numerous weekend closures.

A quiet Lewisham station. Tonight will be a tad busier

And yes today, it’s failed again.

Certain routes will not stop including those on the Bexleyheath line to Victoria.  Tickets can be used on DLR, tube and buses where applicable.

I've lived in south east London most of my life growing up in Greenwich borough and working in the area for many years. The site has contributors on occasion and we cover many different topics. Living and working in the area offers an insight into what is happening locally.
