Eltham High Street Carphone Warehouse “trashed” in theft this afternoon

Carphone Warehouse in Eltham High Street saw a group of teenagers ransack the store this afternoon stealing phones and causing “considerable damage”.

One male has been arrested according to police. They’ve thanked members of the public who assisted with detaining the suspect.

Three other suspects are believed to have run east along the High Street passed the new Vue cinema.

Police are seeking witnesses. You can call 101 if you saw anything.

As a private renter with a young family, the cost of living is extremely high.

Have you let the local police have your footage yet? If not, you can upload your video here: https://www.met.police.uk/ro/report/

I don’t understand why businesses don’t install security smoke and would have thought that carphonewarehouse could afford this measure.
