Man attacks three police officers in Woolwich

A man has been arrested after threatening a Greenwich Council staff member then biting and scratching three police officers.

The incident occured on Calderwood Street in Woolwich.

The man first threatened a Greenwich Council environmental officer with a pole before attacking responding police.

He has been charged with three counts of assaulting a police officer and one count of public order offences.

It was revealed last week that Woolwich will see a dedicated police team for the town centre.

  • Surely the bigger news is that not only three police officers but a Greenwich Council employee were sighted in Woolwich?
