Man dies after Barnehurst stabbing

UPDATED: A 20 year old man has died after a stabbing this afternoon in Barnehurst.

Men were fighting on Barnehurst Avenue with police called at 2:48pm. The victim was pronounced dead at 5.27pm.

Police earlier stated: “A 20-year-old man was found suffering from a stab injury to his chest. He has been taken to an east London hospital, where his condition is being treated as life-threatening. A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken into custody.”

“Anyone who has information that could assist police is asked to call 101 ref CAD 4418/13 Oct.”
