Former Sidcup bank demolition proposed for site redevelopment

Plans have been made to knock down a building on Sidcup High Street which was formerly home to Lloyds Bank.

The bank vacated in late 2023 and the building could now see a replacement three-storey structure with commercial space at ground floor level. Seven flats would be located above.

Funeral Directors W. Uden & Sons are located both behind and next to the former bank and would occupy the new unit. They’re a local business in operation since 1881.

KHD Architecture are behind the design.

Note prominent arches at street level and a set back above the ground floor.

The overall site stretches back from the High Street to Morrisons car park. The funeral directors have offices and store vehicles to the rear.
