Greenwich town centre noodle bar closes for good

A noodle bar that’s been running for decades in Greenwich town centre has apparently shut its doors for good.

Noodle Time on Nelson Road has been a bit of a local staple but in recent days has closed with property guardian signs now in the window.

I can remember it from around 20 – 25 years ago when I believe it had a bright orange exterior. That was toned down to its current exterior about a decade ago.

Much like nearby Tai Tip Mein you’d get a lot of food for not a lot of money.

I’ll keep an eye out for any planning applications that pop up on what could replace it. It’ll likely be something far more expensive. Hopefully Tai Tip Mein hangs on as affordable options in the town are reduced.

  • I remember it from 2007 when the front was bright yellow. Almost no other place has managed to stay open for that long.
