Momo & Co restaurant opens on Bexleyheath Broadway

A new restaurant offering Nepelese, Tibetan and Himalayan cuisine has opened in Bexleyheath town centre.

Momo & Co is located in the old Warren James jewellers offering, as the name suggests, momos a plenty.

And if you havn’t had momos then give them a go ASAP. They’re like dumplings and can be eaten steamed or fried.

I’m slightly obsessed by them having grown up with a lot of Nepali people around Plumstead and them being a fixture of mine for many years now. If I see them at a new place I want to try them and spread the good word.

Food at the Kailish Momo. Friend momos at the top (I normally prefer them steamed)

Other places to try momos includes the excellent Kailish Momo in Woolwich and a market stall at Beresford Square. There’s a few good places in Plumstead too of course.

The Bexleyheath branch of Momo & Co is the second for the business following one at 2 Rennell Street in Lewisham opposite the new Lewisham Gateway site.

I never knew there was a Momo & Co in Lewisham (on my doorstep), but I can’t afford to eat out unless there is a lunchtime takeaway option. Still at least I won’t have to go all the way to Bexleyheath to give them a try. I’ll look for the Lewisham one when I next go to the town centre.
