Bexleyheath Broadway: “Disturbance among youths” sees 16 year old hospitalised

A 16-year-old boy has been hospitalised after a “disturbance among youths” in Bexleyheath.

The incident occurred latest night (Monday 22nd January) at 5:25pm.

A dispersal notice has been issued by the Met covering both today and tomorrow end at 7pm on the 24th January. Police say the boy suffered a head injury which is not thought to be serious. There have been no arrests.

Ongoing issues

The incident follows a number of issues recently including a shopkeeper being abused and having their possessions damaged.

Many have complained of ongoing anti-social behaviour seen after schools close.

  • If these kids cannot behave and cause disturbances for others they need to be cufrewed and be off the streets after school. Or they need to be escorted home. Many of these kids are in groups of bullies and pick on children on their own or more vulnerable than themselves.
Parents need to also take more responsibility for their children’s behaviour Other liocal town centres have similar issues are schools finish for the day. .
