Rape reported in Plumstead overnight

Police are seeking help after a woman reported being raped on Glyndon Estate in Plumstead.

The attack was said to occur around 4am this morning (30th December) near Villas Road, which lies in the estate and located between Plumstead station and Woolwich.

The road runs from Raglan Road in the south down towards the river crossing the railway line and then the Greenwich college building.

Investigations have been underway throughout the day with an area of greenery tapped off.

Anyone who can help can contact police on 101.
