18 new homes proposed opposite Mottingham station
Plans are in to demolish a single home near Mottingham station to construct 15 flats and three houses.
The sizable house sits in prime land a short stroll from Mottingham station and trains into central London and Lewisham.
The applicant Hikigaya 2 Limited state the building conforms to the 2021 London Plan:
“The existing building has not been identified as having any special architectural or historic merit and no objection has been raised against its demolition in principle, subject to the replacement of existing family dwellings.
The loss of one family dwelling will be replaced by four x 3-bedroom dwellings, three of which will comprise individual townhouses on their own plots with individual off street parking and private rear gardens.
The flatted development also provides for one 3-bedroom flat with private balcony and basement storage facilities.”
They are proposing to include zero “affordable” homes.
It looks like a substantial plot, but I can’t help thinking the dwellings will be small.
