Appeal after theft from ambulance

Police are seeking help after an iPhone was stolen from an ambulance on Goodwood Road in New Cross.

Police state the theft occurred on Tuesday 1st March outside the New Cross Dialysis Centre.

A 21-year-old ambulance care assistant helping transport patients from the ambulance to the hospital had their Phone 12 stolen.

Detective Constable Michael Gomes, the investigating officer, said: “These is a shocking crime in which a man has stolen the mobile phone of an ambulance care assistant while she was helping patients in the back of the vehicle.

“I would urge anyone who recognises this man to contact police immediately.”

Anyone with any information about the identity of the man or this theft is asked to call police on 101, quoting CAD 3171/16Mar.
