Murder in Eltham tonight

A man in his 20s has been stabbed to death in Eltham tonight.

Police state they were called at 5:11pm after reports of a stabbing in Lionel Road.

A large number of emergency services were seen at the junction of Westhorne Avenue near co op and Lionel Road.

Police continued: “He was treated at the scene and taken to an east London hospital.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead a short time later.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.”

There have been no arrests.

Anyone with information, however limited they may think it is, should contact police on 101 with the reference 5622/08FEB.

    It is very sad. The people who carried out this cowardly attack are just scum and need to be dealt with very harshly indeed by the Courts when they are caught not if they are caught.

    Bring back National Service and take these little idiots of the streets for a few years. Enough is enough and we cannot allow this violence to continue on the streets of London.
