Welling pub Guy Earl of Warwick set to reopen in February 2022
Welling pub the Guy Earl of Warwick is set to reopen after refurbishment in February 2022.
The pub is located near Welling United’s Park View Road ground – aka the San Siro – and was a popular spot for fans before and after a game.
It closed and locals feared demolition or permanent closure. However, Greene King have purchased the site.
Greene King are a huge brewer and pub company of course with many pubs the length and breadth of the country which should give it some stability.
On a personal level it’s great to hear it will reopen, as going to games at Welling is something I’ve been doing since I was about 5. Pub trips came slightly later.
The club and the pub have a lot of fondness from met so this is great to hear. It’s now time for Welling to improve and reach the heady heights of the conference again (sod that Vanarama national league rubbish).

This is good news for the people of Welling and Welling FC Fans. Great to see The Guy Earl of Warwick re-opening rather than facing permanemt closure.
Excellent news. The Earl of Warwick has always been a major part of Welling and once the refurbishment completed will continue to be for many years to come.
