Energie Fitness gym planned for Welling High Street
Plans are in to convert an empty building on Welling High Street next door to Wetherspoons into an Energie Fitness gym. Well, it’s Bellgrove Road to be specific though I tend to think of it as the High Street.
You can celebrate a 30 minute run with a cheap pint or two, or burn off a pint or two by popping next door. Maybe just do that on a loop for 12 hours. Running while drunk is always more fun.
The unit was previously known as “The Original Factory Shop” and closed in 2018.
Energie Fitness opened in Woolwich on Hare Street last year and are a nationwide chain of low-cost gyms.
A plan was submitted to convert into a church though it is likely to be rejected given that application lacked a number of details including noise reports.

With so many retailers struggling to open new branches on our High Streets, Personally I think opening the Energie Fitness Gym is an excellent idea and will make good use of the site and will fit in better with the neighbouring shops and businesses.
Personally i do not think a Church is right for this site. I am not a fan of seeing old shops warehouses Etc being turned in to churches. As to be honest they are not really churches in the true meaning of the word are they?
Is this still going ahead? There is no work carried out on site
