Teen murdered in Abbey Wood – Section 60 launched

An 18 year old man has been stabbed to death in Abbey Wood around the Edington Road area.

The incident occured last night around 5:30pm with police stating they attended at 5:34pm.

Police issued a Section 60 notice.

“Enhanced stop and search powers (Section 60 CJPOA) have been authorised for the SE2 postcode (Abbey Wood) from 1845hrs 05/03/21 to 0300hrs 06/03/21. This is in reaction to an increase in violent offences. Extra officers will be on patrol in the area.”

No arrests have yet been made.

The scene of the incident – Edington Road – runs in a loop off Boxgrove Road.

    Is the date & time (“1845hrs 05/03/21 to 0300hrs 06/03/21”) for the Section 60 right… it’s before the incident occurred on Saturday evening. 🤔
