Tree falls on car in Abbey Wood – road blocked

A tree has fallen across Bostall Hill this morning blocking the road and disrupting bus services.

An unfortunate mini owner has seen their car crushed.

Bus route 99 is diverted. The incident comes days after heavy rain and winds from storm Bella.

Trees grow old and fall over
Think it may be on Bostall Hill not Bostall Manorway

The woods decay, the woods decay and fall,
The vapours weep their burthen to the ground,
Man comes and tills the field and lies beneath,
And after many a summer dies the swan.

Funny enough I emailed the council about a year ago and said there were a few trees on Bostall hill that looked like they needed trimming back as they were overhanging the road by quite a long way ……..
