Man attacked with machete in homophobic attack

A man has been attacked this afternoon near Canada Water station in Rotherhithe during a homophobic attack.

The victims suffered leg injuries just after 3pm on Surrey Quays Road and is currently being treated in hospital.

The suspect fled the scene on a motorbike. If you saw anything contact police on 101.

As a private renter with a young family, the cost of living is extremely high.

What is happening in this country? We never used to have such violent attacks to the extent we are seeing them now. Why do people feel the need to act like this is beyond me. I hope the victim makes a full recovery.

There is just no need for these type of violent attacks on innocent people whoever they are.
