Police seek man after train assault

British Transport Police have put out an appeal for help tracing a man in connection with an assault.

A passenger was punched in the face on a train from Charing Cross to Grove Park.

According to police: “At approximately 11.30pm on 24 May officers were called to the station following an assault on board a Southeastern service travelling between Charing Cross and Hither Green.

A man in his twenties was punched in the face by another man. The victim received a cut to his lip. All parties left the train at Grove Park.

Officers believe the man shown in this CCTV image may have information which could help them investigate.

If you know who he is, contact BTP by sending a text to 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 749 of 24/05/2019. Or you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
