Nando’s submit plans for new Eltham branch in Vue cinema building

It’s not long now until Eltham’s new Vue cinema opens to the public. Apart from signage the building appears almost complete from the outside as internal fit out reaches a climax. Not sure about the grey upper floors. A little dreary.

Late spring or early summer is the target period to open – and with that comes applications for food units at street level. One of those is Nando’s who submitted plans this week.

Pizza Express are taking the other ground floor unit. Some have complained it’s a bit of a boring two chains as they already have many branches nearby. An independent – Rixos – will take the upstairs space. If the ground floor was to be chains something like Franco Manca or Turtle Bay would perhaps be a bit better. The two for one cocktails would go down well with me anyway. They, like many other chains, sadly give most of Greenwich, Lewisham and Bexley boroughs a wide berth.

The cinema will include six screens and total 900 seats.

Nando’s plans are here.
