A large fire in Erith has seen ten fire engines and 70 firefighters called to Landau Way in Erith.
Smoke is visible across a wide area with the London Fire Brigade stating they were called at at 10:50am and crews from Erith, Bexley, Plumstead and surrounding fire stations are attending.
In addition “the Brigade’s drone team have been deployed, providing the Incident Commander with a greater situational awareness of the fire.
“Crews from Kent Fire & Rescue Service and Essex County Fire & Rescue Service are also in attendance.
“The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.”
The site isn’t too close to many homes given the industrial area beside the Thames is surrounded by marshland.
However the Fire Brigade do advise that people should continue to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke travel.
