Bexleyheath office to housing conversion submitted

Plans have been submitted to convert an office block in Bexleyheath into flats.

Wilkinson House at Powys Close was owned by Bexley Council who put it up for sale last year, as covered on this site.

The council declined to use the site themselves or via their housing company BexleyCo. A report from the time on what the council should do with the sale is now not available on the former link, which now asks for a sign-in username and password.

However a copy of the report is included with the application. It also shows the office block was for sale at £700,000.

Extract from 2025 report

The developer behind the new application is listed as OJC Wilkinson Ltd which was incorporated on 10 December last year.

The block was home to Siemens until summer 2025. Click here to view the planning application.

  • It would have made more sense for Bexley Council to covert the building into affordable social housing as Bexley Council once owned tbe building.rather than sell it to a private developer for private housing.
