Proposal to demolish Crayford flour mill

An application has been made to demolish a flour mill in Crayford.

The mill sits on the River Cray near Thames Road, with the application stating demolition work will begin today with the notice only being posted online on the same date.

According to a form within the application, Bronzeshild Lifting are behind the plan as the  “landowner requires more space.”

I’m not entirely sure whether this link shows the correct mill, but if so it dates from the early 19th century. This link gives a brief overview.

The application can be viewed here.
