Blackwall tunnel delays due to collision
Long delays on approach to the Blackwall tunnel are currently seen this morning (Friday 10 January) in the northbound direction.
A collision has blocked one lane in east Greenwich near a flyover as well as closed the exit slip road to Greenwich.
Traffic is queuing back some miles to Eltham. Very heavy traffic is seen around Kidbrooke junction.
It should be noted the forthcoming Silvertown tunnel will do nothing to alleviate issues such as those seen today as it uses existing approach and exit roads as the Blackwall tunnel, unlike north of the river.
Buses which use the A102 are delayed.
