Free Greenwich music festival on today
A free festival is being held in Greenwich today on the peninsula.
Turning Tides starts about now at the time of writing (1:30pm) and runs until 10:30pm at the Design District not from from the O2 and North Greenwich station.
The first event is big fish little fish which my little girl has been to and loved. Normally that alone costs a few quid.
Later on there’s Ibibio Sound Machine who are excellent live. I stumbled on them at a festival years back and they were brilliant live.
The event culminates with Girl Ray who are highly regarded.
Food and drink
Food and drink stalls will be on site (the Design District has them all week) and various other events will be on.
Seriously, if you have some time today get down. It looks great.
Running a site alone takes time and a fair bit of money. Adverts are far from enough to cover it and my living costs as a private renter.
