Dog hiding beneath train halts Southeastern services

Trains are being delayed on Southeastern services along the Bexleyheath line after a dog ran and hid under a train.

Network Rail staff are trying to extract the hiding pooch.

The incident is between Eltham and Kidbrooke stations.

Rail tickets are being accepted by TfL buses on reasonable routes.

    • I hope the dog will be okay. He must have been frightened by someone or something. Please take great care of animals. If they are not your pets please leave them alone. As you do not the full circumstances. Thank you to everyone involved in helping to rescue this poor dog.

    • Pleased the dog as been rescued safely by Network Rail staff and reunited with his owner. I echo Graham comments that people should leave other peoples pets alone.. People interfering with other peoples pets trying to feed them leaving food on the streets which can encourage rats and foxes and trying to take pets causes the pets real harm and distressed. This is happening a lot in the Charlton area.
What ever frightened this poor dog which forced the dog to run and hide under the train I am just pleased and grateful the dog has been rescued safely and is back with his owners..
