Stabbing closes Herbert Road in Woolwich

Police have closed Herbert Road in Woolwich due to a serious incident today around 4pm.

A man has been stabbed and is in a life threatening condition, with a large emergency services presence at the scene.

Busus are on diversion and Greenwich Police have implemented a Section 60 which permits stop and search.

It covers Shooters Hill Road, Stadium Road, Repository Road, Wellington Street, Bedford Square, Bedford Street, Plumstead Road, Griffin Road, Waverly Crescent, Ennis Road, Admaston Road, Rowton Road, Plum lane and Shrewsbury Lane.
