A new video from developer Muse behind a major Lewisham town centre development reveals progress across the site.

Muse are constructing a new cinema, shops, direct pedestrian link between Lewisham station and the High Street plus 650 build to rent homes from Get Living.

Also visible in videos taken from drones is Meyer Homes’ tower on the former Tesco car park.

Completed development

This will eventually be Lewisham’s tallest tower and offer a public viewing deck on the top floor.

Forthcoming tower

Lewisham has seen many high rise buildings in recent years, with the next set to be at the shopping centre which is in line for major redevelopment.

That should present a direct pedestrian route from the station to the High Street with one road crossing.

Transport for London have also just announced improved DLR services from Lewisham with new trains also due to bolster capacity from 2024-25.

Barriers open. Free rides await at Lewisham on Southeastern Metro

As for rail and Southeastern, no substantial increase in capacity is expected with 30-year-old networkers set to be the mainstay of the Metro rail fleet for years to come.
