Sexual assault of girl on Plumstead bus

Police have launched an appeal after a 15 year old girl was sexually assaulted on a bus in Plumstead.

The Met have released an image of a man they wish to speak to after the incident on 19 May at 6:30pm.

After talking to the girl, a man touched her breast and thigh as the victim moved away.

Police however appear to have made a basic mistake, as their appeal states it was on the 486 bus, which does not go through Plumstead. The appeal is also being announced many months after the incident.

They have been approached for clarification.

Anyone who knows the man can to call 101 and quote reference 6644/19MAY. To remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
