Police are seeking the person pictured above after an assault a robbery.

The incident occurred last year at 8:40am on 18 May.

In response to the long time to release an image, police stated it takes time to review CCTV and find the best image.

Anyone with information can contact police by calling 101 quoting reference CAD1659/18May.

That’s ludicrous – eyewitness recollection is notoriously unreliable a short while after an incident , and in many cases can actually be misleading. Some poor soul is denied justice because the police have neither the budget, manpower or ability to produce footage when any smartphone of the last few years would produce quality good enough for prosecution standards. As it is, the suspect looks like a youth, and his appearance may have changed enough to cast doubt on a potential match.
