Bus fire in Charlton

A bus has caught alight in Charlton tonight causing disruption to services.

According to a witness the “bus pulled up on Charlton Road at 6.20pm and driver ran out shouting for everyone to follow. He attempted a fire extinguisher but got out of control. It looks like an engine fire.”

Pleased the driver and all the passengers alighted the bus safely and the fire was quickly brought back under control.
