Bexleyheath Broadway shopping centre sees fire

A fire on the top floor of Bexleyheath Broadway shopping centre this afternoon has been extinguished by the London Fire Brigade.

A portacabin on the roof caught alight leading to smoke drifting across the town centre.

The LFB state: “Fire in top floor carpark of Broadway shopping centre Bexleyheath is now extinguished, firefighters will be on scene investigating the cause and making the area safe for a while.”

There are no injuries reported. Shops are open.
